BELLINGHAM — The Whatcom County medical examiner says a Western Washington University student whose body was found in Bellingham Bay had drowned.

Bellingham police say an autopsy performed by Dr. Gary Goldfogel determined that 18-year-old Dwight Clark’s death was accidental. Clark’s body was found Oct. 6, 10 days after he was last seen leaving a friend’s home.

The autopsy released Thursday says Clark had a blood-alcohol level of .13 at the time of his death, and toxicology tests found marijuana. There were no signs that trauma contributed to his death.
