The annual Tour DaVita was held Oct. 8-10. More than 600 cyclists took part in the three-day, 230-mile event, raising more than $1 million for Bridge of Life, a nonprofit sponsored by DaVita to improve access to dialysis and primary care in underserved communities worldwide.
As part of the event, many of the cyclists volunteered at a Community Health Fair in Stanwood on Oct. 9. The fair included kidney education and flu shots. Volunteers also helped assemble care packages and hygiene kits for homeless women served by Dignity for Divas.
