MUKILTEO — A family was left with no home after a fire Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out about 1:30 p.m. at a house in the 900 block of 10th Street in Mukilteo. One firefighter was taken to a hospital for evaluation, Mukilteo Fire Department Assistant Chief Brian McMahan said. No other injuries were reported.
The blaze apparently started in the garage and spread to the home. Smoke could be seen from miles away.
Crews from Snohomish County Fire District 1, Lynnwood and Everett also responded.
Snohomish County fire marshal’s investigators were working to determine what started the fire.
