Maybe the way to get people to their jobs on time is to shuttle them across Lake Washington and along Puget Sound in a boat. That’s a creative solution that I heard on KUOW this morning.
Locally, that could involve diverting people caught in traffic on the U.S. 2 trestle to a Snohomish River ferry? OK, I kid.
A mosquito fleet may work in King County, but in Snohomish County, a different solution is probably needed.
As part of my continuing conversation about where we go now that Proposition 1 has failed at the ballot, I turn to a succinct Joellyn Clark of Marysville. She reflects here on claims by politicians that there is no “Plan B,” that the failed roads and transit tax package was the only option.
“There is a Plan B,” Clark said. “It’s called moving closer to work or finding work closer to home. It’s what thousands of people go out of their way to do.”
