WENATCHEE — A body found in the Columbia River Thursday at Wenatchee is believed to be a 13-year-old girl who was swept away May 28 after jumping off a dock.
The body was found by two men on personal watercraft about two miles downstream of Wenatchee Riverfront Park where Liliana Leon wen missing.
Police Capt. Kevin Dresker told The Wenatchee World that the body appeared to be a teenage girl and the Leon family was notified.
The Wenatchee girl had jumped in the river with a friend who was rescued by a passer-by.
