Body found near Edmonds ferry docks

EDMONDS — Police in Edmonds were investigating a body found along the shore south of the ferry docks on Friday morning.

The 911 call came in around 8:50 a.m.

Snohomish County Fire District 1 had been called to assist with a water rescue, but the case quickly was turned over to the police, officials said.

The age and gender and how the person might have died were not immediately available, Edmonds police Sgt. Mark Marsh said.
