Body found near Skykomish River identified as Index man

INDEX — A man whose body was found June 14 along the Skykomish River near Index has been identified as William G. Hodges.

Hodges, 50, drowned, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. He lived in the Index area.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. The death is not considered suspicious, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

Officials were unable to find Hodges’ relatives to notify them of the death. Anyone who may have known him should contact the medical examiner’s office at 425-438-6200.
