CLE ELUM — The 900 students in central Washington’s Cle Elum-Roslyn School District were evacuated after a bomb threat was left on a computer screen in a high school classroom. Authorities said later Tuesday no explosive devices were found.
The Daily Record said that elementary students were taken to the Cle Elum Centennial Center while middle school and high school students were taken to the district’s Swiftwater Learning center at mid-day Tuesday.
By 5 p.m., District Superintendent Mark Flatau said law enforcement officers had not found any explosive devices. He said all school activities were scheduled to resume as normal Wednesday.
The threat said a bomb would be detonated at noon Tuesday.
The newspaper said officers are investigating but say they have no suspects yet.
