EVERETT – A vehicle pursuit in south Everett ended Thursday night when a Snohomish County man reportedly crashed his car into another vehicle, police said.
The man, who was wanted on a felony warrant for allegedly escaping from the state Department of Corrections, was taken by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of serious injuries, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
A 26-year-old Everett woman and a child were in the other vehicle involved in the crash. The woman suffered a cut lip and the child was uninjured, Hover said.
Sheriff’s deputies spotted the man’s car about 6 p.m. outside a store near Highway 99 and Airport Road. The man left the store about 7:12 p.m. He got in his car and drove off when deputies approached him, Hover said.
Deputies pursued the man’s vehicle until it crashed about 7:22 p.m. in the 8100 block of Broadway.
The collision is under investigation by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
