Several highway lane closures are planned for tonight and next week in Snohomish County.
Crews working for the state Department of Transportation are scheduled to close the two left lanes of southbound I-5 at the Stillaguamish River bridge from 9 p.m. tonight to 1 a.m. Saturday for survey work.
Crews working on the Highway 522 widening project near Monroe plan to move overhead power lines near the Snohomish River bridge.
The work is scheduled for 1 to 5 a.m. Saturday. Crews will need to completely close the road for up to 20 minutes at a time as they move wires above the road. Residents living near the bridge also will notice intermittent power outages as crews move and reconnect the lines.
A rolling slowdown is planned for midnight to 5 a.m. Tuesday on southbound I-5 in Lynnwood as crews plan to remove old signs near the interchange of I-5 and I-405.
The slowdown will be in effect from 164th Street SW to I-405.
Drivers can also expect overnight lane closures Tuesday night as crews work on sign lighting north of the I-405 interchange. Crews will close the three left lanes of southbound I-5 from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday. Ramps from Highway 525 and I-405 will also close Tuesday and Wednesday nights for sign work.
