Collision causes car to flip on I-5; no serious injuries

EVERETT — No serious injuries were reported after a rollover collision on I-5 in Everett on Thursday.

About 2 p.m., a pickup truck and passenger car were both southbound when they somehow collided just south of 41st Street, said trooper Mark Francis with the Washington State Patrol.

The impact sent the car spinning until it flipped onto the shoulder, Francis said. The car’s driver was taken to a local hospital with injuries that weren’t believed to be life-threatening.

The crash remained under investigation. Traffic was slowed in the area for some time.
