Students at Columbia Elementary School in Mukilteo discovered many ways to spread kindness around their school during the Great Kindness Challenge, a week-long bully prevention initiative. Students chose kindness challenges from a 50-item list that included asking new students to have lunch with them, saying please and thank you, smiling at 25 people, making someone laugh, and more.
The Challenge will be held again Jan. 21-25, 2019. Its a program of the California-based nonprofit Kids for Peace. Learn more at thegreatkindnesschallenge.com.
