Dance: Zumba marathon for trip to Kenya

Bold Futures will host a Zumba marathon to raise funds towards a research trip to Kenya from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday at the Mukilteo Boys and Girls Club, 1134 Second St., Mukilteo. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and children. The marathon Zumba session will be for three hours. This summer, Bold Futures is going to Kenya to see what assistance is needed there and what supplies they should bring with them in the future to help people. Attend: Concert to benefit the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts

The Whidbey Island Center for the Arts will host a benefit concert for the WICA Chambers Singers at 6:30 p.m. March 30 at the home of Marion Henny. Help: Donkey basketball game to benefit Granite Falls Class of 2012

The Granite Falls Class of 2012 parent group will host a donkey basketball game to raise funds for the class of 2012 graduation activities and trips at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Granite Falls Middle School gym, 405 N. Alder Ave. Ticket costs are $8 pre-sale and $9 at the door for adults; $6 pre-sale and $7 at the door for students between grades 7 and 12; $4 pre-sale and $5 at the door for children. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. This event will be the class of 2012 senior’s vs. the faculty of all schools in Granite Falls. Eat: Dinner and swing dance to help the Stanwood Chamber of Commerce

The Stanwood Chamber of Commerce will host a dinner and swing dance to benefit the Area Historical Society and the chamber from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. March 10 at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27130 102nd Ave NW, Stanwood. Ticket costs are $30 per person and $50 for couples. Tickets will be sold at the door and in advance. Spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and dessert with coffee will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. Beer and wine will be available for an additional charge. The American Red Cross will host a workshop for armed forces personnel and their families to help them re-connect after a military deployment at 6:30 p.m. March 7 at Red Cross Office, 2530 Lombard Ave., Everett. Volunteer: HOPE Therapeutic Riding Center to host volunteer training

HOPE Therapeutic Riding Center will host a volunteer training session for its spring quarter starting with an online meeting at 6 p.m. Monday and at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Coupeville.
