ARLINGTON — Community Transit plans to make changes to three routes in north Snohomish County.
Local routes 201 and 230 are set to change Sunday, and changes to commuter route 422 between Stanwood and Seattle start Monday.
Route 201 weekend trips continue to start at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, but won’t serve the Smokey Point Transit Center. Buses are scheduled to stop at 174th Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard.
Route 201 between Smokey Point and Lynnwood is scheduled to begin weekday southbound trips at the old Smokey Point Transit Center, just west of the current start point at 174th Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard. Passengers will have a sheltered waiting area. There is no public parking at the old transit center.
In addition, route 201 northbound trips will continue on to the Stillaguamish Senior Center over the same streets as routes 200 and 202.
Route 230, between Smokey Point and Arlington, also is set to begin its eastbound trips at the old Smokey Point Transit Center.
Route 422 between Stanwood and downtown Seattle is scheduled to change on the afternoon run through Seattle because of planned construction later this year on the Pike Street ramp to the I-5 express lanes.
Buses will continue north on Pike Street to Olive Way, then to Howell Street and onto the express-lanes onramp there. Stops will be added at Fifth and Olive, Ninth and Howell and Yale and Howell streets.
