EVERETT — Much of Snohomish County remains under a fire watch through Thursday evening, especially near the western slopes of the Cascade Range.

Dry conditions and winds are expected to make for a higher fire danger than normal, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Recent rainfall should alleviate the risk for coastal areas.

People should keep an eye on weather forecasts and local burning restrictions, officials said.
