BELLINGHAM — A barge with a crane moved into place today at the Bellingham marina where officials believe two people died when their boat burned and sank.

A spokesman for responders, Mark Young of Bellingham police, says it probably will start work Wednesday moving debris so they can reach the boat where Jim Langei and Sterling Taylor lived.

Their 42-foot boat was one of the boats destroyed in Friday’s boathouse fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
