Death on boat at Ebey Island marina investigated

EVERETT — Snohomish County sheriff’s major-crimes detectives are investigating a suspicious death reported Sunday at an Everett-area marina.

The death was reported about 10:30 a.m. aboard a boat near the 5500 block of 12th Street SE on Ebey Island, sheriff’s Lt. Robert Palmer said.

The victim was believed to be in his 40s, Palmer said.

By early Sunday evening, investigators were working to obtain a judge’s permission to conduct a search of the scene.

No additional details were immediately available.
