ARLINGTON — Snohomish County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of an Arlington man after he was involved in some sort of struggle earlier this week.
John L. Oster, 57, died Wednesday evening at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. Officials have not yet determined the reason for his death.
Emergency crews were called early Wednesday morning to Oster’s house in the 13000 block of 208th Street NE in the Arlington Heights area east of town, officials said.
Oster was taken to a local hospital, where he reportedly told hospital staff that he’d been involved in a fight several hours before, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Friday.
Oster was unable to speak to detectives before he was taken to Harborview, where he died.
Investigators were interviewing witnesses, Ireton said. No arrests had been made as of Friday afternoon.
