A donation account has been set up for Charles “Chuck” Rash, the 23-year-old Everett man and Iraq war veteran who was seriously injured in a Sept. 3 crash on I-5.

Rash didn’t have medical insurance at the time of the crash, but he has qualified for emergency medical coupons, said his girlfriend, Bonnie Ruggenberg.

However, Rash’s family needs to find a new home to accommodate him, Ruggenberg and Ruggenberg’s daughter who has cerebral palsy. Rash’s current lease is up Sept. 30.

As of Thursday night, Rash was still in intensive care but making progress. He was on a feeding tube and fighting infections, but doctors hope to get him out of ICU in the coming days.

Donations to help the family can be made at any U.S. Bank, account number 153562734837 or under “Amanda Rash.” Amanda Rash is Chuck Rash’s sister-in-law who will be taking care of him when he released from the hospital.
