Edmonds woman hit by SUV identified

EDMONDS — An Edmonds woman who died Tuesday after being struck by a sport utility vehicle has been identified as Lexie J. Hess, 73.

Her death was ruled an accident by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Hess was crossing 4th Avenue N. at Bell Street when she was hit, according to Edmonds police.

The driver, 36, was turning left at the time. The driver stopped and called 911.

No drugs or alcohol were believed to be involved. The investigation continues.
