Voters in Edmonds, Woodway and nearby areas of the Snohomish County part of the 7th Congressional District led South Snohomish County in voter turnout for the Aug. 2 primary election.
Voters in that area had a return rate of 43.47 percent compared to 33.57 percent countywide and 34.88 percent statewide.
Voters in the 7th Congressional District narrowed the field of five Democrats, two Republicans and two independents to the two Democrats who will run in November to replace retiring Democratic U.S. Rep. Jim McDermott.
Part of the area is in the 21st Legislative District, part in the 32nd Legislative District, with voters choosing among candidates for four state representative positions, two in each district.
The City Of Mountlake Terrace, which passed a tax levy, had a turnout of 35.79 percent.
