EVERETT — The deadline to apply for a vacant seat on the Everett City Council has been extended.
Applicants now have until 5 p.m. Dec. 14. Interviews have been moved to the council’s Dec. 20 meeting, officials said. The appointment will be made in the coming weeks.
The seat will become vacant when Councilwoman Cassie Franklin takes over as mayor.
Applicants must be 18 years old, registered to vote and have lived in the city for at least a year. They should include a resume and cover letter. The position pays $28,163 a year.
