EVERETT — A 42-year-old Everett man has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder after police discovered a body this morning outside of a home on Ebey Island, officials said.
Deputies from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office found signs of a struggle outside the home in the 1100 block of 63rd Avenue SE near Ebey Slough, said Robert Beidler, a bureau chief for the sheriff’s office.
The victim’s name, age and hometown have not been released.
The case came to the attention of the sheriff’s office after Everett police received a call about a disturbance in the 4700 block of Fowler Avenue around 12:30 a.m.
The caller reported that people were talking about having hurt or killed someone, Beidler said.
While the investigation is in an early stage, detectives do not belive this was a random event, Beidler said.
