EVERETT — An Everett fast food restaurant worker was shot in the face by a masked man wielding a pellet or BB gun early Sunday, according to city police.
The worker was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett for injuries that were serious but not life-threatening, Everett officer Aaron Snell said. The pellet or BB did not strike the employee in the eye.
The shooter showed up around 12:30 a.m. at the Wienerschnitzel in the 5900 block of Evergreen Way, Snell said. The hot dog restaurant had closed about a half-hour earlier. For reasons that were unclear Sunday, the masked man shot the employee in the face and ran off.
A police dog searched the area but could not find the shooter. He was described as white, in his 20s, with a Carhartt-style jacket.
