EVERETT — An Everett woman was jailed Sunday evening after she reportedly attacked her boyfriend with a kitchen knife.

The woman, 28, allegedly was drinking at a local restaurant when her boyfriend left without her, according to a police affidavit.

The woman sent a text message to the man and threatened to slit his throat, he later told police.

When the woman got home, she reportedly grabbed a butcher knife and ran after the man, swinging the knife, according to the affidavit.

She struck the man at least once, but the knife didn’t cut through his jacket, he told police.

When police arrived, they found the knife drawer open and a large knife in the kitchen sink, they wrote.

The woman was arrested and booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree domestic-violence assault.
