Unity Church speaker: The Unity Center for Positive Living, or Unity Church, will host author Roy Holman at the 10 a.m. service May 20. The service will be followed by a 1 p.m. talk where Holman will discuss “Unity Consciousness” and show slides from a six-week visit to India’s Oneness University. A “oneness blessing” is planned. Holman is author of “Healing Self, Healing Earth: Awakening Presence, Power, and Passion” and “Poems from the Passionate Heart: Reflections on Healing and Awakening,” and is a certified yoga, meditation and healing instructor. Spring concert: Breath of Aire, an 80-voice Northwest choir, will perform a concert of inspirational, patriotic and classical music at 6 p.m. May 20 in the sanctuary of Cross View Church, 604 Ave. C, Snohomish. Admission $10.
Carmelite Institute of Spirituality: A Day of Recollection is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 26 at the Carmelite Institute of Spirituality in Stanwood. The Rev. Stephen Watson will speak about “Marion Spirituality in Carmel.” The Catholic institute presents monthly Days of Recollection and hosts spiritual retreats. Suggested donation is $15-$20. New pastor in Arlington: An official installation service for the Rev. Scott Summers, the new pastor at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Arlington, is scheduled for 4 p.m. June 3. Summers, who came from a church in Oregon, is a married father of two, and a graduate of Washington State University and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, Calif. Church is at 615 East Highland Drive, Arlington.
Father’s Day Car and Bike Show: Northshore Christian Church will host its 10th annual Father’s Day Car and Bike Show 9 a.m.-2 p.m. June 17. Living Interfaith Church: will hold two services this month in the Alderwood Middle School cafeteria in Lynnwood. At 11 a.m. Sunday, the service will honor Visakha Puja. Sometimes called “Buddha’s Birthday,” it celebrates the Buddha’s birth, his life and enlightenment. There will also be time to share memories of moms for Mother’s Day. Cathy Merchant and Steve Crawford will lead the service. At 11 a.m. May 27, for Memorial Day weekend, the sacrifices of those who have served in the military will be remembered and honored.
