MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A 28-year-old father was arrested Tuesday and accused of raping and molesting his daughters, Mountlake Terrace police said.
Detectives learned the man, who was unemployed, was abusing his three daughters, ages 6 to 11, while the mother was at work, Mountlake Terrace Assistant Police Chief Pete Caw said Friday.
The father had recently moved to Skagit County and detectives were having trouble contacting him, Caw said.
The man was arrested without incident when he came to a McDonald’s restaurant to meet his girls. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of three counts of first-degree rape of a child, two counts of first-degree child molestation and one count of first-degree assault.
