Fire destroys abandoned mobile home

LYNNWOOD — A blaze in the Martha Lake area on Sunday destroyed an abandoned mobile home that neighbors said was frequented by transients, Snohomish County Fire District 1 said.

Crews from Fire Districts 1 and 7 responded at 7:25 a.m. to find the inside of the home in the 16500 block of 6th Ave. W. engulfed in flames, Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said. It took them about 15 minutes to put out the fire.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office determined that transients, whom neighbors reported seeing at the home, were likely responsible for causing the fire, Hynes said.
