Stanwood parade
Stanwood-Camano Rotary Club is asking businesses, clubs, teams and organizations to participate in the 2010 summer parade.
The parade is set for 11 a.m. Aug. 7 along 271st Street NW. The parade entry deadline is Friday.

Senior center waffle breakfast: The Mill Creek Senior Center plans a waffle breakfast to raise funds today for the center.
Waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, tea and juice will be served from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Merrill Gardens Retirement Community, 14905 Bothell Everett Highway in Mill Creek.
The suggested donation is $10.
Red Rooster farm tour: The Red Rooster Route, a nonprofit association of small farms in the Arlington-Marysville area, continues its harvest tour this week with a free lavender festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Lavendar Hills Farm, at 7508 108th St. NE, Marysville.
Activities also include live music, local arts and crafts booths, lavender-infused foods and gifts for sale.
Stanwood art festival: The Stanwood-Camano Festival of Art and Music is scheduled Saturday and Sunday at the Stanwood-Camano Community Fairgrounds, 6431 Pioneer Highway in Stanwood.
The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and feature more than 100 artisans, as well as plants, garden art, food and music. Admission and parking are free.
“Art by the Bay” is presented by the Stanwood-Camano Arts Guild.
