USS Lincoln to return
The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln departed Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton on Wednesday after undergoing $250 million in maintenance and upgrades during the past nine months.
Lt. Cmdr. William Marks told the Kitsap Sun that the ship, which arrived in Bremerton on April 17, will conduct sea trials, testing and training for about five days before returning to Naval Station Everett.
City asks for marketing input: The city of Lynnwood wants to know what its residents think is special about the city. It’s put together a survey and is accepting comments through Sunday.
Information from the survey will be used to help craft the city’s branding and other marketing efforts.

Volunteer positions include sorting clerks and cashiers for the thrift store, receptionists for the front desk, drivers, administrative help, cosmetologists, events and program planning, nutrition program and coffee bar workers, instructors for classes, membership and database updating help.
