Edmonds: 8:30-9:30 a.m. Friday (first Friday) at the Edmonds Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave. Pancakes, strawberry compote, eggs, ham, biscuits and sausage gravy, beverages. Cost is $5.
Bothell: 8-11 a.m. Saturday and March 17 (first and third Saturdays) at the Northshore Senior Center, 10201 E Riverside Drive. Pancakes, eggs, ham (first Saturday) or sausage (third Saturday), coffee or tea, and orange juice. Cost is $5.
Snohomish: 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday (first Saturday) at the Snohomish Senior Center, 506 Fourth St. Pancakes, French toast, sausage, ham, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and more. Cost is $5, $3 for kids.
Lake Stevens: A Norwegian Pancake Breakfast is served 7:30-10:30 a.m. March 17 (third Saturday, September to May) at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 2111 117th Ave. NE. Cost is $6; children younger than 4 are free.
Monroe: 8-10:30 a.m. March 17 (third Saturday) at the East County Senior Center, 276 Sky River Parkway. Pancakes, French toast, eggs, ham or sausage, beverages. Cost is $5, $3 younger than 12.
Sno-Isle Genealogical Society offers a free beginning genealogy class, 10-11 a.m. Saturday (and every first Saturday) at the SIGS Research Library, 19827 Poplar Way in Lynnwood’s Heritage Park.

Dino Days at the Burke
Dig into dinosaurs with Dino Days, from Friday through Sunday at the Burke Museum on the University of Washington campus in Seattle.
The event includes a free lecture. “Dinosaur Movement: From Humble Beginnings to Earth-Shaking Giants” with John Hutchinson is set for 7 p.m. Friday in Kane Hall 130. Free to all; recommended for ages 10 and older. Registration is recommended.

Teen service hours
Middle school students (grades 6-8) can earn community service credit by helping out at the Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd., 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday (first Saturday, September to May). Help prepare crafts for library programs, pick up and clean up, sort books and more. No need to sign up. Meet in the teen area.

Make blankets for kids
The Binky Patrol, a group of quilters, knitters and crocheters who make “binkies” for children in traumatic situations, seeks volunteers and donations of fabric, yarn or thread. The group meets next Sunday (first Sunday, second Sunday if a holiday) in Marysville.

Project Linus also makes quilts and blankets to donate to Snohomish County kids who have experienced traumatic life events. The next Project Linus event is set for 12:30-2:30 p.m. March 13 (second Tuesday) at the Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett, 3025 Lombard Ave. Materials and equipment are provided. Bring a sewing machine if you have one.
