Enjoy playfields again
A grand reopening ceremony for Lynnwood’s Meadowdale Playfields is set for 5 p.m. Monday. The renovation includes all-weather turf, along with new fencing and seating.

VR for teens
Teen Tech Week at the Mariner Library includes an opportunity to try out virtual reality headsets loaded with the Minecraft game. Give tiny robots a whirl, too. The free event is at 11 a.m. Saturday. The library is at 520 128th St. SW in south Everett. For ages 10-19.

Island County town halls
State 10th District lawmakers Rep. Dave Hayes, R–Camano Island, Sen. Barbara Bailey, R-Oak Harbor, and Rep. Norma Smith, R-Clinton, will hold 90-minute town hall meetings Saturday: 8-9:30 a.m. at Whidbey Telecom, 1651 Main St., Freeland; 12-1:30 p.m. at Oak Harbor High School, 1 Wildcat Way; and 3-4:30 p.m. at Conway Middle School, 19710 Highway 534, Mount Vernon.

An annual Spring Clean event is set for April 4 at Lynnwood’s Heritage Park. Volunteers are needed, and a potluck lunch is planned. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. RSVP is requested.

Sew Thoughtful project helps kids
This month’s charitable sewing project by the Snohomish County Clothing and Textile Advisors will be sewing tote bags for young children served at Safe Place, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 16 at the Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave. W, Lynnwood. Bring your machine and other sewing supplies, and your own lunch. Kits provided.

Early stage memory loss group
Emotional, educational and social support is available for those who are in the early stages of memory loss. The Alzheimer’s Association provides a space to share experiences and learn about memory loss in a confidential environment.
