See the dogs run

The Cascade Dachshund AKC club is scheduled to hold its agility trial this weekend at Lake Tye Park, 14964 Fryelands Blvd. in Monroe.

The event begins today from 2 to 5 p.m. It will continue over the weekend starting at 8 a.m.

At least 150 dogs will compete in different classes by running a series of obstacles as fast as they can.

It’s free. Take your own chair.

Mill Creek anniversary: Mill Creek Senior Center’s first year birthday will be celebrated Saturday.

It’s planned for noon to 3 p.m. at 15720 Main St. in Mill Creek.

They’ve planned free food and entertainment.

Work at dog park: Give your dog some herbal therapy by joining Sno-Dog Off-Leash Group to help pull weeds, spread wood chips and pick up litter at the off-leash dog park at Cavalero Hill Community Park at 2032 79th Ave. SE in Everett.

The cleanup party is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. If you have them, bring hand shears and loppers, pitchforks and rakes.

Open house in Marysville: Marysville Parks and Recreation is planning an open house Wednesday, for people to learn more about their fall classes.

Participants will be able to register for classes including Zumba aerobics, driftwood sculpture, cooking, photography and martial arts for kids. Instructors will be at the event to answer questions.

The open house is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. at Jennings Memorial Park Barn, 6915 Armar Road.
