Clothes For Kids is hosting the first “Brew &Bluegrass” fundraiser 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Everett Yacht Club, 404 14th St., Everett.

Tickets are $25 and include five tastings of beer or root beer from local breweries Big E Ales, Ninkasi Brewing, Full Sail Brewing, Maritime Pacific Brewing, American Brewing Company, and others, as well as live music from bluegrass bands Stillwater Hill, Money Creek Mining Company, and 7 Chord Pileup. People also get to vote for their favorite brew.

A raffle with overnight getaway packages and fun day trips throughout Western Washington will be held to support the nonprofit.

Art project for kids: The Snohomish County Commission on Human Rights is asking students in kindergarten through 12th grade to submit original artwork for an exhibit recognizing International Human Rights Day on Dec. 10.

The theme is “Human Rights” and the art needs to be centered on one or more articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. To read the declaration, go to
