Don’t stop at the slide site
Officials are again asking people to be respectful while driving past the site of the fatal March 22 mudslide near Oso on Highway 530.
There have been reports of trespassing, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Wednesday. There also are concerns about people stealing items from the area.
Drivers and passengers should stay in their vehicles and stay on the roadway without stopping.
Anyone who sees problems should call 911.
