Front Porch: Ethnic Elder Resource Fair is Saturday

Senior Services of Snohomish County offers the fifth annual Ethnic Elder Resource Fair in Everett.

It’s planned for 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Everett Community College, 2000 Tower St., Everett.

Eating Well, Living Well features workshops in Spanish, Cantonese, Tagalog, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, Vietnamese and English.

Find free health-care screenings, more than 30 exhibitors and information about community resources.

Transfer fair offered at UW-Bothell: The University of Washington’s Bothell campus has scheduled a transfer fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. The event is free.

Learn about admissions, financial aid, student life and support services.

The fair will be on campus, 18115 Campus Way NE, Bothell, in the North Creek Events Center.

Advisers will offer two sessions for veterans to discuss educational benefits, veterans services and the transitional process of starting or continuing education after service. The sessions begin at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in UW1-103.

Training: Help during a disaster: Snohomish County Fire District 7 offers Community Emergency Response Team training for anyone interested in learning how they can help their community during a major disaster.

Classes will be at Fire District 7 Headquarters, 8010 180th St. SE, Snohomish.
