Kids in sixth through 12th grades are invited to the first Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt in Mill Creek.

The free event begins at 7:30 tonight at Heatherwood Middle School’s football field, 1419 Trillium Blvd., Mill Creek.

Some of the prizes are a $20 Azteca gift card, $25 Burgermaster gift card, a manicure from Coco Nails and a University Bookstore gift card.

Participants must bring a signed waiver, which can be picked up at City Hall or printed from www.cityofmillcreek.com.

Bring a flashlight and food bank donations, and wear shoes that can get dirty.

Vans for free: Community Transit occasionally offers vans to groups under its Van GO program. The vans could help people in Snohomish County more this year than usual because Community Transit is planning to cut all Sunday service and trim other routes beginning in June.

Available vehicles include vanpool vans, paratransit minibuses and staff service vehicles. Groups in Community Transit’s service area are eligible.

The deadline to apply is April 30, with the vans scheduled to be awarded June 3. For more information, write vango@commtrans.org, call 425-348-7185 or go to www.commtrans.org/vango.
