The Snohomish Community Food Bank is asking people to start making their donations for Oso mudslide relief efforts directly.
The food bank has been taking donations for Oso, Darrington and Arlington since March 22.
People can find direct donation information on the Oso community collection center’s website at tinyurl.com/m7ot5tu or call 360-631-7289.
Checks can be mailed to the Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation at 330 S. Stillaguamish Ave., Arlington, WA 98223. People can call in donations at 360-435-2133, ext. 7805.
United Way of Snohomish County is also accepting donations for Oso. Checks can be sent to United Way, Attn: Finance Dept., 3120 McDougall Ave., Ste. 200, Everett, WA 98201.
New place to get wet: Marysville’s new Spray Park is opening Thursday in Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave. A free celebration will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., with refreshments, music and souvenirs.
The park will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Labor Day weekend.
The Marysville Community Parks Foundation is continuing to raise remaining funds for the $325,000 project. About two-thirds of the money has been raised, but the foundation is seeking donations to reach its goal.
