Front Porch: Food drive planned for Gospel Mission

The Everett Chapter of Unchained Brotherhood, a clean-and-sober motorcycle club, will hold a food drive 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today and Sunday outside the Everett Albertsons store, 6727 Evergreen Way. All food collected will be donated to the Everett Gospel Mission for meals during the holidays. This is the sixth year the club has provided food for the mission. Unchained Brotherhood sponsors clean-and-sober motorcycle rides and other events. Information: www.unchained brotherhood.org.

Collecting for typhoon relief: The city of Lynnwood’s Diversity Commission is helping to collect supplies to help people suffering the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan.

Needed items include personal hygiene products, including soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and shampoo, and first aid kits and supplies. Drop-off bins can be found at the Lynnwood Recreation Center and the Lynnwood Library through the end of the month.

Send us your info: Our annual Ways to Give feature is set to run in the Sunday, Nov. 24, edition of The Herald.

We need: the name of your organization, what services you provide, hours, address, a phone number to be included in the listing, a phone number for confirmation, and what items, services or volunteer help you need.

Submit information by Nov. 18 to Herald reporter Gale Fiege, Box 930, Everett, WA, 98206, or e-mail gfiege@heraldnet.com. For more information about Ways to Give, call 425-339-3427.
