Chorale concert
The Everett Chorale is scheduled to perform a free outdoor concert at the Mukilteo Library on Saturday to celebrate Sno-Isle Libraries’ 50th anniversary.
The event is planned for noon to 1 p.m. in the park next to the library at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd. N.

Artist of the year: A free lecture is planned from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday with Kevin Pettelle, the Schack Art Center’s artist of the year.
Pettelle plans to illustrate how advances in digital technology aids with casting bronze statues such as his “Late for the Interurban” located in Seattle’s Fremont district. A question-and-answer period will follow.
In 1987, Pettelle established NW Artworks Bronze Casting Service with his father and brother. It was there he gained an extensive knowledge of the lost-wax method of casting, learning all aspects of the ancient and complicated process.
A retrospective of his more than thirty years of work is currently on exhibit at the Schack Art Center in “Celebration of the Human Form” through July 29.
After the library closes: Third-, fourth- and fifth-graders are invited to find out what happens after the library closes, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Stanwood Library, 9701 271st St. NW.
The popular annual event includes a chance to make origami bugs and win a copy of “The Strange Case of Origami Yoda” or “Darth Paper Strikes Back,” create shadow puppets and bring them to life and investigate the science of ice cream.
Registration is required. For more information, call 360-629-3132 or go to www.sno-isle.org and click on classes and events.
