Donate your teddy bears: Bartell Drugs is accepting donations of teddy bears at its pharmacies in the Puget Sound area through April 1.
The annual drive puts teddy bears in the hands of police departments, hospitals and emergency response teams who then give them to children involved in stressful situations.
More than 70,000 bears have been collected over the past several years for the cause, which is sponsored by the drug chain and radio station Warm 106.9.
Buy an official “Bartell Bear” at stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties for $7 and Bartell Drugs will donate a second bear to the campaign. Or bring in new or gently used bears smaller than 12 inches.
