Front Porch: Help stuff a bus Saturday

United Way of Snohomish County plans a Stuff-a-Bus event Saturday and will accept donations of cash, non-perishable food items and toiletries to benefit local food banks and nonprofit organizations.

The event will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Albertsons at 196th Street and Highway 99 in Lynnwood.

Attention teenagers: Get a team of friends to take part in a wacky and fun digital photography scavenger hunt from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday that starts at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave W.

Kids must be ages 12 to 18 or between sixth to 12th grade to participate.

Teams will be given a list of things in Mountlake Terrace to track down and photograph. The first team to complete the list — or team with the highest number during the time limit — will win a prize.

Wear comfortable shoes, a hat to block the sun and bring a water bottle and device that can take up to 60 digital photos, either a camera or phone.

Huge garage sale: The Edmonds Lions Club is having what is billed as a huge garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 8225 210th Place SW, Edmonds.

Prices will drop by half at 3 p.m. and clothes will be put in a $5 bags at the same time.

All the funds go for community projects, the Sierra Park for the Blind and Sight and Hearing project.
