Fest at the Schack: Locally produced beer and hard cider, bratwursts, live music and masterful glass blowers making pumpkins; sounds like a fun Saturday night, right?
It’s not too late to buy tickets to Beer &Brat Night, part of the Schack Art Center’s Schack-toberfest festivities.
Beer &Brat Night is from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Schack Art Center, 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Tickets are $20 for Schack members, $25 for non-members and $30 at the door. Must be 21 to attend.
The evening includes live music, glass-blowing demonstrations, beer and hard cider from local breweries, bratwurst with all the fixings, popcorn and more. Visitors also get a free souvenir Schack pint glass with a ticket.

Are you a tax wiz? United Way of Snohomish County seeks qualified candidates to serve as site managers for the Free Tax Preparation program this coming tax season. Six positions are available, including one full-time position at 30 to 35 hours per week and five part-time positions at 20 to 25 hours per week.
Applicants must have knowledge in basic tax law, be outgoing and comfortable with promoting and communicating to tax clients, have a positive attitude, be a team player and be flexible.
