Weekend craft fair
Lake Connor Park, a private camping club, will hold a fall craft fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sundayat the park grounds, 14320 28th St. N, Lake Stevens.
The public is invited. Lunch will be available for purchase.
Legion Riders group forming: Lake Stevens American Legion Post 181 is forming an American Legion Riders chapter. Military veterans who served honorably anywhere during wartime eras and have a motorcycle are eligible to join.
Interested veterans are invited to attend the meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Community Center, 1808 124th Ave NE, Lake Stevens, 98258.
American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children’s hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded military members and scholarships.

Back to the fire line: Snohomish County wildland firefighters are heading back over the mountains. As of Friday morning, wildland strike teams were getting ready to leave from Monroe, Lake Stevens, Getchell, Arlington Heights and Gold Bar, according to Gold Bar Fire Chief Eric Andrews. Many of the crews just recently got back from other wildfires in Eastern Washington.
