Lakewood School District will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the district at its district Open House and Tech Expo 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at Lakewood High School, 17023 11th Ave. NE, Arlington.

Entertainment will be provided by student groups of all ages. Displays from each school and department will feature the district’s past, present and future. A video of Lakewood’s history and several picture boards will also be shared.

Current technology used by Lakewood students and staff will be on display and hands-on opportunities will be available. Refreshments will also be served.

Buffet brunch at yacht club: The Camano Island Yacht Club is serving a buffet brunch Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.

The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children under 9. Omelets are $1 extra. The club is located at 129 N. Sunset Dr. on Camano Island.

Register for father-daughter dance: Registration for Marysville’s 2014 Father-Daughter Valentines Dance starts today.

The dances are Feb. 1 and Feb. 8 at Cedarcrest Middle School, 6400 88th St. NE.

Two sessions will be held each day, from 5:30-7 p.m. and 7:30-9 p.m. Tickets are $20 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter attending the same session. Register online at marysvillewa.gov or at the parks office at Jennings Memorial Park, 6915 Armar Road.
