Participants in Leadership Snohomish County’s Signature Leadership class and its Young Leaders Challenge are looking to help on projects.
Non-profit organizations with a community project or event can go to www.leadershipsc.org to download an application form. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Aug. 20.
The project or event must serve residents or communities within Snohomish County.
A one-hour orientation session is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. July 18 at United Way of Snohomish County, 3120 McDougall Ave., Everett.
All local nonprofits are welcome.
Explore the world of magic and illusion at a special program starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mukilteo Library.
The free program promises to teach people a trick or two as well.

Independent public radio station KSER (90.7 FM) invites people to nominate individuals, organizations or business owners for the Everett-based station’s 2012 Voice of the Community Award.
The annual KSER award recognizes people who speak up about community or cultural concerns with positive results for the residents of Snohomish or Island counties.
Nominations are being accepted in three award categories: community impact by an individual or organization, community impact by a business, and cultural impact by an individual or organization.
Nominations are accepted through July 31. Award recipients and finalists will be announced at a KSER fundraiser in November.
