Are you selling trees?
The Herald is putting together a list of Snohomish County Christmas tree farms.
If you want your farm on the list, which will be published later this month, send your farm name, address, driving directions, public phone number, website, hours and types of trees to features reporter Sarah Jackson at email@example.com.
Submissions are due Nov. 15.
Tax preparers needed: United Way of Snohomish County is looking for more than 100 volunteers for its annual free tax preparation program.
The program is designed to help people prepare tax returns and take advantage of tax credits they are eligible for, said United Way spokesman Neil Parekh.
All volunteers will receive free training and be certified by the IRS. Multilingual volunteers are greatly needed.
The program runs Jan. 24 to April 14.
The program sites will be located in Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville and Monroe.

Calling all snowmen to event: The Downtown Arlington Business Association is calling in all the painted snowmen displayed last Christmas for a rendezvous from 4 to 8 p.m. today along Olympic Avenue.
A resident painted plywood snowmen and distributed them to businesses around town last winter.
Music and treats are planned during the association’s holiday open house.
