Fireworks and goats
The Lynnwood City Council is mulling changes to laws regarding fireworks use and the keeping of pet goats in city limits.
Both topics are scheduled for a final vote in coming weeks.
A public comment period is planned for Tuesday’s council meeting, set for 7 p.m. at City Hall. The meeting was moved due to today being a holiday.
Family fun at Future of Flight: The Future of Flight Aviation Center &Boeing Tour is offering exciting and educational family workshops on Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 31.
There is no extra charge for the programs presented by Future of Flight Foundation experts, which focus on aviation with additional emphasis on artistic interpretation and creativity.
Families and children of all ages can explore the science of aerodynamics with a Bernoulli mask, for example, or build simple gliders that can teach about control surfaces and the way wings work.
The 90-minute workshops will be held twice each day, at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the Flightline room on the Gallery level next to the Family Zone.
Admission to the workshops is included in the ticket price.
