Memento bricks
The walls are gone but much cleanup remains to be done after workers demolished the red-brick, 1930s digestor building at the Kimberly-Clark plant on the Everett waterfront over the weekend. On Sunday, huge mounds of debris covered the sides of the giant digestors that were used to cook wood chips into pulp.
People who are interested in getting bricks as mementos of the old building can leave their name at the guard shack at the entrance to the former mill. The demolition contractor will consider the requests.
