The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance’s mobile mammography van will be in Granite Falls on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mammograms will be provided to women age 40 or older who have not had a mammogram in the past year.
Women with health insurance will need to bring their medical insurance card. Women without health insurance should ask for a sponsored mammogram. Appointments are required. Call 206-288-7800 for information.
Learn about Terrace over coffee: People who live in Mountlake Terrace are invited to join city officials for a cup of coffee and hear firsthand what’s happening in the city. The event is scheduled from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Recreation Pavilion Jungle Room, 5303 228th Street SW.
People are encouraged to ask questions, give their views about city services or just listen to the conversation. It’s a chance for people get involved, learn more about city government and hear what’s happening in Mountlake Terrace.

Local crews battling wildfires: Five Snohomish County fire districts have sent crews, vehicles and resources to assist with wildland fires in Lincoln, Grant, Douglas and Chelan counties.
The districts are in Monroe, Lake Stevens, rural Arlington, Getchell and Gold Bar. As of Sunday, Snohomish County had sent 10 fire engines and two command vehicles.
